NY Elite Cannabis
Family-owned CAURD dispensary in Bayside, Queens. One of the 36 original social-equity licensees. Built by Carson Grant — Jamaica '87 to Queens — and run as a family business.
One of 36 original CAURDs. Still standing. Still family.
Carson Grant came to Queens from Jamaica in 1987. Almost four decades later, in 2023, he became one of the 36 original CAURD licensees — New York's first wave of social-equity adult-use dispensaries. Most of that class hit the same wall in year one: real estate, capital, supply chain, foot traffic, regulatory whiplash. A lot of CAURD shops never made it through.
NY Elite did. Carson took the DASNY space on Bell Boulevard that another CAURD operator passed on for being too expensive, and built a sophisticated retail operation around it — mood-based shopping UX, a real loyalty program, delivery, recurring in-store brand events. It runs as a family business: Carson at the helm, the Aikens family on the floor and in operations.
Bayside isn't where most cannabis tourists look. They should. It's one of the most quietly multicultural neighborhoods in Queens — a Korean-American food corridor on Bell Blvd, the Little Bay waterfront to the north, historic Italian and Irish bones underneath. NY Elite sits right in the middle of it.
The product mix.
NY Elite stocks the full menu — flower, pre-rolls, edibles, vapes, concentrates. All licensed NY adult-use product. Brand rotation refreshes regularly.
It's not a chain. It runs like one.
Mood-based shopping
Their site lets you shop by what you want to feel — relaxed, social, focused, sleepy — not just by strain name. Genuinely useful for first-timers.
NY Elite Rewards
Real loyalty program with earned credits. Not a punch card — a tracked system that gets you more product the more you come back.
Delivery
Order online, get it delivered. Pulls Bayside customers who can't or don't want to leave the house.
In-store brand events
Recurring brand activations and product launches — recent examples include Rove Prerolls and Dank by Definition BOGO drops.
1 of 36 original CAURD
Carson Grant is one of the original 36 social-equity licensees in NY. Not corporate-owned, not multi-state — a Jamaica-to-Queens family business.
Multilingual neighborhood
Bell Blvd is K-town North layered over historic Italian and Irish Bayside. NY Elite is positioned for the city's most multicultural cannabis customer base.
